MetroWizzz Introduction

In Garmin MetroGuide, North America and Europe version, automatic route calculation is offered in the PC only. There is no route calculation data that can be transferred to a GPS even if it has autorouting capabilities. Of course you can buy City Select or City Navigator but the difference in price is a lot. With MetroWizzz, our Autorouting MetroGuide Wizard, you can make your GPS capable of autorouting with MetroGuide maps. The wizard is self explaining. In just 6 simple steps you will have autorouting capabilities with MetroGuide maps on your GPS! You can upload up to 1Gb of maps to your GPS.

What do you need

A PC with Mapsource installed, nonlocked MetroGuide maps (only Metroguide Europe and Metroguide USA are supported for now), a GARMIN GPS with autorouting capabilities (i.e. Etrex C-serie, GpsMap, Nuvi etc.).

Six simple steps

The wizard consists of 6 simple steps:

	See if you apply to the minimum requirements and read the disclaimer
	Start Mapsource and select the maps that you want to upload to your GPS. Doesn't need to be just Metroguide maps, you can also include for example extra TOPO maps. Save the mapset.
	Go back to the wizard and load the mapset you just saved in Mapsource.
	Have Mapsource generate an index file, all it takes is a click of the mouse. The wizard will automatically keep the index file for uploading to your GPS later.
	We are ready to upload the maps to your GPS. Choose what you want to do next: upload maps to your GPS unit and/or save them in a seperate IMG file (GMAPSUPP.IMG compatible) for upload later.
	The wizard will upload the maps to your GPS and/or save them in a GMAPSUPP.IMG compatible file.

MetroWizzz has some compatibility issues with Metroguide Europe Version 9 and Metroguide North America Version 8; because of it address searching won't work on your GPS if you use it with these Metroguide versions. Don't use Metrowizzz on Metroguide Europe Version 9 and Metroguide North America Version 8, get MetroGold instead.

MetroWizzz has compatibility issues when it comes to combining Metroguide and Topo maps on your GPS; because of it autorouting won't work. Don't use Metrowizzz if you want to combine Metroguide en topo maps on your GPS, get MetroGold instead.

Don't use MetroWizzz if you want to upload more than 1 Gb of maps (incl. indexing and addressing information) to your GPS, get MetroGold instead.
