Problems after updating Mapsource 1 Year, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
I bought Metrogold over a year ago and have been using it in conjunction with Metroguide v9. The product is great and has saved me a lot of money for which I am very grateful!. Recently I clicked on the upgrade button within Mapsource and was offered the "upgrade" from 6.13.1 to 6.14.1.0. After downloading and installing this I could no longer access Metroguide v9 Gold! As this meant my GPS was virtually useless (I use the auto-routing all the time) I had then to do a complete re-install of the older version (from the CD which came with the GPS) and reprocess my Metroguide files using Metrogold. All works fine again-- it may well be that the "upgrade" was a waste of time anyway but just curious-- have Garmin built in something to "block" your modification of their software?

Same here. Updated Mapsource to 6.15 and Metrogold NA7 no longer listed in Mapsource. Ugh. Is Garmin deleting the map files?

"I just got my Nuvi a couple of days ago, used Metrowizz and made up 476 megs of Europe maps. Thats way more than I will need for my vacation. I copied the file as suggested into the Garmin directory on the Nuvi...works great. Thanks for Metrowizz and your help in getting it up and running. I changed my location to places I will be staying in Europe and it routes to my destination with street names and turns called out. Garmin makes great products, you make them work better. Thank you!"

"Outstanding Product - worth its weight in Gold! This is just a terrific addition that makes the Garmin Etrex a great little GPS instead of just an ok device. For $6 (US) it cannot be beat. I certainly hope they continue to create products that support the Garmin GPS portfolio. Well done guys!"
