GPS Map 60CSx "Find Address" Problem 1 Year, 11 Months ago Karma: 0
I found lots of success using MetroWizz to simultaneously load MetroGuide North America v5 and Topo US maps into my GPSMap 60C and into my GPSMap 60CSx. My only problem was when I did an address search on my 60CSx it could only search the map segment in which the cursor was pointing. It was as if all the other loaded maps did not exist. In order to successfully search for an address I have to make sure the cursor is within the map segment of the desired address; kind of problematic if I don't exactly know what map segment the address is located.

A Garmin rep told me the problem was that the 60CSx was programed for NT map format (I guess that is why they have a City Nav NT and City Nav non-NT). Anyone know how I can get my 60CSx to do an address search like a 60C?

"I just got my Nuvi a couple of days ago, used Metrowizz and made up 476 megs of Europe maps. Thats way more than I will need for my vacation. I copied the file as suggested into the Garmin directory on the Nuvi...works great. Thanks for Metrowizz and your help in getting it up and running. I changed my location to places I will be staying in Europe and it routes to my destination with street names and turns called out. Garmin makes great products, you make them work better. Thank you!"

"Outstanding Product - worth its weight in Gold! This is just a terrific addition that makes the Garmin Etrex a great little GPS instead of just an ok device. For $6 (US) it cannot be beat. I certainly hope they continue to create products that support the Garmin GPS portfolio. Well done guys!"
