Setup does not work 2 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 0  
When trying to run the SetupEuroBasemap file i get the message "Could not initialize installation. File size expected=8217376. Size returned=6356992."
Could someone please tell me what i am doing wrong?

Please download the file and try to install again. It's probably broken/incomplete during download. good luck

Tried to download four times now. Same result each time I try to run the file.

Strange, I tried it myself and works great. Don't know what's wrong. But never mind, I sent you a copy of the setup to you through email. Hope it works now.

Thanks a lot but unfortunatlely I have not received the file you sent to my emailadress. It reads as follows: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

That's the address where I sent it as a .rar file. Maybe the file is to big for hotmail or stopped by spam filter. I don't know how to solve this anymore.

I was able to download it finally. I think it was because I had a poor internet connection.

Hi Mats,
had the same problem initially, finally download worked. But how to get it loaded onto the GPS unit? Perhaps trivial, but for beginners like me a guide would be fine...

I finally got the basemap sent to me in .rar format. Thanks admin! I extracted the file and got it into Mapsource. Then it was easy to select the map and transfer it into my gpsr.

I copied the file as suggested into the Garmin directory on the Nuvi...works great. Thanks for Metrowizz and your help in getting it up and running. I changed my location to places I will be staying in Europe and it routes to my destination with street names and turns called out. Garmin makes great products, you make them work better. Thank you!"
