Metrogold download problem 1 Year, 10 Months ago Karma: 0  
Hi. I paid the fee and downloaded MetroGold. It shows as on the computer, about a 1000kb file. However, when I go to open it using the shortcut I get a Metrogold popup that says that Metrogold is not installed and there are no updatable products. I have Mapsource loaded and operable with my Europe metroguide v8 map. Any ideas/help will be appreciated. @

Hi, Obviously the software did not recognize the installed version of MG. Can you please send a screenshot of your mapsource (upper left corner) with MG8 active in it. See example: http://www.geodude.nl/community/images/stories/metrogold/image4.jpg
Where did you install MG, is it in C:\Garmin ?

"I just got my Nuvi a couple of days ago, used Metrowizz and made up 476 megs of Europe maps. Thats way more than I will need for my vacation. I copied the file as suggested into the Garmin directory on the Nuvi...works great. Thanks for Metrowizz and your help in getting it up and running. I changed my location to places I will be staying in Europe and it routes to my destination with street names and turns called out. Garmin makes great products, you make them work better. Thank you!"
