Hi guys!

I recently got a secondhand iQue M4, it came without any software discs or the registration codes. From what I can figure out, I need these codes so that the iQue will recognise any maps I import onto it from Garmin Mapsource and the codes are specific to each unit.

So far I only have the the Unit ID from within the QueNav program and the Serial Number found beneath the antenna. I've seen posts on other forums asking for the Unit ID and an unlockng fee to get past this but is there any other way around this problem?

City Navigator North America 2008

Yeah, well City Navigator needs unlocking codes can't do anything about that and can't really help you with that. Either buy the full product or try somewhere else.
But another thing you can of course do is not install the City Navigator maps, but get Metroguide US and Metrogold. Metroguide doesn't need unlock codes but is normally not routable on your iQue. With Metrogold (http://www.geodude.nl/community/content/view/20/37/) you can make it routable on your iQue.
Metroguide is a lot cheaper than City Navigator.
