I have an Ipaq HW6945 with Garmin Mobile XT, and Mapsource 6.13.7. I have purchased Metrogold, run it and got the GOLD signd. However, after I transfer the maps to the GPS, I canīt do any routing. When I use the city navigator maps it works just fine. Why would it be?

Hi there,
I've used metrogold on a similar configuration and it should work.
Make sure "Include route calculation data" is checked in Mapsource (lower left corner).

Find attached the following pictures:
1) Checked.jpg: showing that "Include data..." is checked.

2) Gold.jpg: showing that the sign "Gold" is there.

3) MG NA V7.jpg: showing the stright line (no routing)

4) CN NA NT2008: showing what happens with City Navigator NA NT 2008 (routing).

I believe that Iīm doing everything I should, but something is not working. I really donīt know what to do.

Seems like there's no map at your current location.


I think there can be several reasons for this:
You didn't include the map tile at your current location in your upload.
The MG map is not active in Mobile XT. Go to : Tools / Manage My Data / Map Sets / Mapsource-button. Check the correct MGNA7 map, uncheck map that could overlay/interfere the MGNA7 map.

"I just got my Nuvi a couple of days ago, used Metrowizz and made up 476 megs of Europe maps. Thats way more than I will need for my vacation. I copied the file as suggested into the Garmin directory on the Nuvi...works great. Thanks for Metrowizz and your help in getting it up and running. I changed my location to places I will be staying in Europe and it routes to my destination with street names and turns called out. Garmin makes great products, you make them work better. Thank you!"
